Summary

Magic, dragons, elves, and vampires are my new normal。 At any point, I might get attacked by an angry book, be on the shit-list for forgetting to hook up my battle bear’s keg, or get called to investigate a gruesome magical murder。

And how cool is that?

Well… the investigating part, not so much the murder。

When Garnet brings Team Trouble in to investigate a string of discarded bodies, none of us likes where the evidence points。 My Spidey-sense says something isn’t right。

In the human realm, the evidence doesn’t lie。 In the empowered realm… nothing is as it seems。

Keep ‘Em Coming!Seriously? Listen folks and pay close attention。 This is the NINTH book in a series。 Did you catch that? Count ‘Em。 Nine。 Apparently I’ve also read the other eight, and I’m still here asking for more and begging Auburn to keep them coming。Now out of all of that information, which you had before you even started reading this review, where do you I hid that other shoe that’s about to drop? Oh…。! Right! THERE ISN’T ONE。 And guess what? There’s not a single negative point I can say a Keep ‘Em Coming!Seriously? Oh…。! Right! THERE ISN’T ONE。 And guess what? There’s not a single negative point I can say about this book either。 Well…。 Maybe that the author could have added another 1,000 pages, or so, because I’m never happy to get the end of one of her books, but that’s probably a bit much。 Honestly, I’m sure I could live with an extra 950 pages just fine。 Nine books into the process and any kinks seem to have been ironed out。 The rhythm and timing of the story are flawless, the build up and suspense are much more subtle rather than blatant this time。 And…<<<(view spoiler)[>>> and the massive tragedy hinted at, but not yet felt, has still failed to arrive, and the truly “happy ending” felt more natural and organic than the actually real world around me。 Well done! Well done, indeed! (hide spoiler)] 。。。more

Between book but goodThis was definitely a set up for the next arc, but it was done with a quick pace, a thoughtful storyline and tied up some dangling threads in order to put everything where it needs to be for the Mingin line。 Looking forward to 10

Amazing! Thus series continues to grow and get better。 The family dynamic is wonderful and lore is pretty neat as well。 Fi continues to grow and while action is here, the high jinks are better。 It's hard to balance the two properly, but it can, and indeed has, been done in this series。 Highly recommended。 Amazing! Thus series continues to grow and get better。 The family dynamic is wonderful and lore is pretty neat as well。 Fi continues to grow and while action is here, the high jinks are better。 It's hard to balance the two properly, but it can, and indeed has, been done in this series。 Highly recommended。 。。。more

I love FiI have to respectfully disagree with your reviewer, I love the way Fi talks and interacts with others。 I have been told I am too honest and have been known to make up my own words to properly express whatever emotion needs to be expressed so I say keep her honest to herself and to others! Love the series and wait with bated breath for the next book。

Vampires Are Not All BadFiona and company deal with a few brutal murders。 The murderers are known, but it is not that simple。 Fiona thinks Xavier the local vampire leader is a bad guy, but that is not that simple either。Throw in Beltane, twins, and Fiona's bonded blue dragon to give a book that is hard to put down。Eagerly awaiting the next book! Doesn’t disappoint。This is a very binge-able series with this book being no exception。 Fi and the gang are so relatable and her, dare I say, daily dance with chaos is so unbelievable but fun。 Unlike a lot of the books, we see more of Grant for this outing as well as deal with more Guild issues。Dart is still a sweetie, and Bruin is certainly earning his keep in this adventure。 However things are not looking so great for the Cumhaills, and Fi is dealing with way too many problems leaving her vulne Doesn’t disappoint。This is a very binge-able series with this book being no exception。 Fi and the gang are so relatable and her, dare I say, daily dance with chaos is so unbelievable but fun。 Unlike a lot of the books, we see more of Grant for this outing as well as deal with more Guild issues。Dart is still a sweetie, and Bruin is certainly earning his keep in this adventure。 However things are not looking so great for the Cumhaills, and Fi is dealing with way too many problems leaving her vulnerable。 Love the direction the series is headed, just wish more of what Fi experienced in Greece would come to the fore (like the big cat)。 。。。more
